Some memories about Annual Conference 2006
It's Thursday morning, 26th of January, a day the MC team 05-06 had waited for around two months. The excitement is so high that the reality feels untouchable - is it really there?
This was briefly mentioned the feeling MC team had on Thursday. Suddenly it's Sunday afternoon and you can't believe that it's all over now - speeches, legislation, external day, official dinner, sessions, discussions, breaks, parties - 72 hours of tension & relaxation, laughter and tears, ideas & actions, motivation & depression, fights & support, energy & exhaustion..
The most inpiring for me was to genuinely discuss with the members of AIESEC in Estonia about our identity and 2010. I got so many perpectives that were absolutely overwhelming. I felt like a whole new AIESEC was revealed to me - an AIESEC that I couldnt even dream of back in year 2003 when I participated my first AC. I felt great to see how much clarity members have in terms of AIESEC in Estonia's direction and relevance. Thanks guys!
The other great feeling I had was about my team. I can state with all my heart that this MC is the best team expreince I have ever had. With so much fun, we do so much great work. These girls have tought me so many things and I will never find enough words to thank them for everything. I know we'll be friends for a lifetime and I know we'll be achieveing a lot in our lives.
Kaisa - thank you for making this conference run so smoothly!
Kreta - thank you for adding some spice to this conference!
Kristi - thank you for demonstrating true courage and leadership!
Liisi - thank you for the @XP principles and the wild party on Saturday :)
In addition (sorry for the long post) I would like to share my impressions about one guy called Kartik. When I first met him, I thought I will never speek to him in an unprofessional manner - being Indian MCP and all, wearing his glasses and suit, talking non stop... I couldnt even imagine he would come and Chair our conference at some point. Leaving all this aside, I think he did a great job putting this conference together, giving us the best laughs, the best drinking games and the inspiring thoughts and insights about his expriences with AIESEC. I hope though, that he didnt get a culture shock thanks to Estonian women :)
To take it all together - I truly enjoyed this conference and hope you did too!
